On April 1, 2019, Atchison Hospital went live with the implementation of the new MEDITECH Expanse EHR. This web-based, health information system consolidates patient records from all points of care, allowing for a more comprehensive healthcare experience for both the patient and the provider. This platform is designed to be readily adaptive to further innovation. Atchison Hospital has been a MEDITECH customer for a long time, and after careful consideration of several systems, chose Expanse EHR as the solution that best fit its needs.
Terry Davis, Director of IT at Atchison Hospital, was the project manager for the implementation of this new system. Over the course of several months, he and the staff of Atchison Hospital participated in extensive training with MEDITECH’s IT support team, Engage, to facilitate its seamless transition to the more advanced system.
