This is a Full-time position, 7:00am-3:30pm and will require on call rotation for nights, weekends and holidays; 72 hours per pay period, bi-weekly with a floating day off each pay period. Must be able to respond to emergency cases within 30 minutes of notification. Performs and functions as a member of the surgical team. Passes instruments to the surgeon, assists the surgeon and/or holds retractors during surgical procedures. Other responsibilities include decontamination of instrumentation involved in patient contact. Assembles, sorts, counts and arranges instrumentation by set. Wraps, sterilizes and distributes instrumentation. Surgical Technologist Certification preferred who is willing to learn all specialties. BLS certification required.
